A Walk Through a Vineyard in Naples Italy

By Guest Blogger, Julia of Icons Wanted

Time and time again we express our love for the chaotic, vibrant, and authentic Italian city of Naples. From it's secret underground history to the tiny hidden pasticceria with some of the best sfogliatelle in Italy, there are beautiful surprises on every corner.

Another friend and travel professional who shares this love of Napoli with us here at Travel Italian Style, is culture and history v-blogger, Julia from Icons Wanted.

Julia is not only known for finding the best-kept travel and history secrets worldwide, she also spent a month living in the city center of Naples in 2015. This is why we asked her to share a photo blog of her favorite off-the-beaten-experience that simply took her breath away in this Italian city.

It didn't take her long to reminisce about this heartwarming memory that she was thrilled to share.

In 2015, I unpacked my bags and settled into the city of Naples. I had heard so many stories of this city but still did not know what to expect. In order to  feel at home and get acustomed to this foreign land, I did only what I know best. I opened my history books and began exploring. My wanderlust and curiosity eventually lead me to a fantastic and unexpected find right in the city center, a vineyard!

When I arrived, I was mesmerized by the vines, the view, and the passion behind this business. Of course, in true Italian style, I was welcomed by the family to see the grounds. In fact, I had the assistance of two piccoli (little) friends to show me around. They explained the behind the scenes of the business and shared stories of their parents, local friends, and daily life. I was also told that in the summer they turn the vineyard into a summer camp. Stories like this filled my afternoon, it was the view and the company that made me realize that Napoli had stolen my heart.

Here I will take you with me on the walk through the sites I saw on this day in 2015. I wanted to give you a view of what this beautiful city looks like beyond the busy streets and hanging laundry.

So without further ado, enjoy this photo blog through the windy, beautiful paths of Bella Napoli you probably did not even know existed!

Andiamo..
